Despite his recent loss to Fabricio Werdum, heavyweight fighter Fedor Emelianenko is still considered, by some, one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time. It makes it hard for MMA fans to understand why he isn’t in the UFC, which is the highest level of the sport. While both sides have engaged in their fair share of finger-pointing, Fedor recently placed the blame squarely on Dana White.
"If Dana White really wanted me in UFC, I would have been in UFC by now. Dana is the guy who speaks more than he actually does."
We can all give our opinions as to what's going on with Fedor and M-1 Global, but one thing is for sure; Fedor is not in the UFC, which makes me happy. I don't think I can handle any more "freak shows" in the UFC. Kimbo Slice was hard enough to take and the media frenzy that would surround Fedor would push some fans over the edge.
