"It's not really the direction I want to move (in), but if it's worth it and they really think he's ready and Strikeforce wants me to fight him, I'll take the fight. I've had a good game plan up to this point and I really want to move in the right direction. Dave's just starting out. I'm looking to better myself and get better opponents each time. I'm not disrespecting Dave at all, but he's new to the game. That's definitely a fight for the fans, but not so much for my career."

It seems as though Lashley is still very non-committal on fights that could pose a problem for his winning record, which is very mis-leading.  While the hardcore mma fans know that Lashley is never going to be a title contender, the average fan still wants to see him fight.  The problem is that Lashley won't fight anybody that's any count, even though he says that's what he wants.

Word of advice to Bobby Lashley; take the fight against Batista if it's offered.  Strikeforce could get a small bump in ratings due to the huge wrestling following that Batista has, and it could inevitably prolong the demise of his employer.
